Click here for my review and a mini tutorial on how to knit this We Are Knitters Kit | Poupa Hoopoe.
I wanted to make this video in case there is anyone out there who is interested in buying a We Are Knitters kit.
What comes in it, what to expect, quality, etc.
This is what you can expect: High Quality. The needles are artisanally made from 100% beechwood which is known for being a "hard-wearing" wood. It is shock absorbent so it can withstand your powerful knitting arms ;)
The yarn: Okay, We Are Knitters yarn is E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G! I have used their wool and cotton yarns and they are the best quality. So soft and squishy where my knits look luxurious and expensive. Deffffinitely worth it.
If you're going to make something and spend so much time and effort on it, you want it to look one-of-a-kind am I right? Which brings me to their patterns. I have made a few of their patterns and I love how unique and fun they are. You can see the designers personality and I always get compliments when I wear them!
Their kits are very beginner friendly. They take all the worry and stress of ensuring you have enough yarn, the right materials and everything you need. They go beyond to make your knitting experience extra special by adding a label for your garment to put on. I just love that finishing touch.
You can opt out of having the needles included if you already have them. There are soooo many color choices, you are bound to find the perfect color for your knitting project!

Here are some of the steps you need to know to make this Poupa Hoopoe Kit.
1. If you want your cast on edge to be nice and smooth on the right side of your work, the long tail cast on will not work! Trust me, I went CRAZY over this because I didn't want the bumpy side to be on my cast on for this beautiful knit piece. I used the Cable Cast On and it worked beautifully. Shown in video at 6:35.
2. Stockinette Stitch: Knit on the RS(Right Side) Purl on the WS(Wrong Side). Shown at 7:41
3. Changing colors. 9:24 (You will have to change colors on the wrong side once. 13:56)
4. Decrease - K2tog shown at 13:10
5. Bind Off shown at 11:08
6. Sew the shoulders, sides, and sleeves. 15:36
7. Weave ends 18:32
