HIPSTER HAT

You guys have heard of Ravelry right? It's my favorite search engine for knitting and crochet patterns. This hat is one of the most popular free hats on there! When I found that out, I was itching to make it and to find out why it's so dang popular! The pattern is very well written(YAY!!!) and, it comes in ALL SIZES! It is very versatile, I love that you can make it fitted, or slouchy. It also looks good on both girls and boys. This hat was very quick to make, and I will definitely be making more of these :)

Materials I used:

Lion Brand Yarn-Heartland in glacier bay(1 skein)
US 6(4.0mm) & US 8(5.0mm) -16" circular needles
US 8 -29" circular needle OR DPNs to decrease
6 stitch markers

booties

HOW TO KNIT COLOR BLOCK BOOTIES

These have got to be the coolest slippers/socks/booties EVER! Am I right?! My husband wanted me to make him another pair of slippers so I put him on Ravelry and had him search. This is what he picked and I love it! Great taste right? I'm glad I liked it too or this wouldn't of been very fun to make haha. Did I mention that these are super easy to make?! It's literally just knitting squares of different colors and make it into an L shape. I have a video tutorial if you want to watch that to help you along :) I also show how to fold and sew it together as well as FELT! Lots of people have asked me how I felt. So now you get to see!

-100% wool worsted weight yarn(size 4) 3 different colors. I used Patons Classic Wool-Dark grey mix, Jade Heather, & Black 1 skein of each.

Faux-Cable Beanie

This is one of my favorite hats I've made in a long time for many reasons. 1. it knits super fast. 2. it's fun to make. 3. it looks like cables, but it's noOoOot! :) 4. Unisex hat-It appeals to both men and women. I sometimes feel bad making so many beanies for women and not any options for men, so I was really excited about this.

I actually made this hat for my sister in laws grandpa who is fighting through cancer. I hope it makes him happy and keeps his cute little head warm :) A lot of people ask me how I get through a project. The best way is to knit something for someone and think about them, all the memories you have with them/of them, and their reaction will be when you give it to them. What about you guys? What gets you through a long project?

Red Heart With Love(size 4 worsted weight)-Pewter(hold yarn double)

note: the pattern uses size 5 bulky weight yarn, so that's why I held my yarn double

Campout Fingerless Mitts

So many of you have asked me if I could make mittens, fingerless gloves, some kind of hand warmer. I was trying to find a pattern that would be easy for someone who has never knitted before, and found this pattern. I love that it's thicker on the palms so if your holding your hot cup of yumminess, your hands will stay toasty ;) Click here for my video tutorial!

Men's Slouchy Beanie

hey guys! So many of you want me to make a beanie for the manly men ;) well, I was watching Punk'd a while ago and saw the guy off of twilight, Emmett on there and he was wearing a beanie and looked so good in it. (I'm sure it was all cuz of the beanie ;)) So I went on Ravelry and found many options. I chose the first picture(don't worry, if you liked the other one's better, I'll be making some of those too!). This pattern is sooo very easy, a beginner and even someone picking up knitting needles the very first time would be able to make this successfully. Especially with my video tutorial to help them :)
So, what are you waiting for?! Go make this beanie for your husband or boyfriend, maybe you want to impress your crush, or want your brother or dad to look better! cuz they will ;)

Don't Forget! It looks great on girls too! In fact, I might just steal my husbands ;)
