KNITTING TUTORIAL - BABY CARDIGAN

Saturday, May 11, 2013

This is my first piece of clothing to knit! I can usually find good deals of sweaters and cardigans at stores that are cheaper to buy than if I were to buy yarn that's just as nice, and make my own. Saves a LOT of time!(I'm not a fast knitter) I thought it was a no brainer. Why would you waste your time and money when you can buy a perfectly good sweater already made?! DUH! But, I found this pattern and thought it was adorable, and I wanted to challenge myself, and..I'm glad I did. It was so worth it! She looks so cute in it!

I now know why people make their own sweaters, it's one of a kind, no one else has it, and it means so much more and becomes a family heirloom. Love that! I hope someday this cardigan will stay in the family for a long time. Another great thing about this cardigan is that it can work for a boy or a girl! I have flower buttons on mine, but if I ever have a boy, I can change the buttons to blue or green :) I spent a lot of time making/editing these videos(there's 4 parts!) I hope you enjoy them and that they help you so your knitting is more enjoyable :)

  1. I stared this project with a pink/white marl yarn and the leaf pattern looks messy, stay with a solid color..I would also recommend to practice the leaf pattern first to see what is going on
