NOTES
This hat is knitted in the round, from the bottom-up.
Available in sizes: Adult.
TO MAKE IN SMALLER SIZES:
For a smaller size, I would suggest using size 5 bulky yarn. Even smaller, decrease your needle size as well as the yarn size.
IF YOU WANT A RIB:
I did not add a ribbing to this beanie, but you totally can! What I would do is knit 5 rounds of your favorite ribbing (I like K1, P1 rib) using the smaller size needles, and then start your cable pattern with the larger size needles throughout the rest of the beanie. Since you're adding 5 rounds at the beginning, I would knit 1 less cable repeat.
- Size US 13 (9mm) 16" Circular Needles
- Size US 15 (10mm) 16" Circular Needles
- *A longer circular needle may be needed on your last decrease rnd/or DPNs (I was able to make it with my 16" cable)
- Size 6 Super Bulky yarn (95 yds.) I used Wool and the Gang - Crazy Sexy Wool in Pink Lemonade
- Cable Holder - You can use a DPN instead or anything to hold your sts.
- Tapestry Needle
Gauge:
4 sts x 6 rows=2” in stockinette
Measurements:
10" long x 9" width
