iKNITS: Faux-Cable Beanie

This is one of my favorite hats I've made in a long time for many reasons. 1. it knits super fast. 2. it's fun to make. 3. it looks like cables, but it's noOoOot! :) 4. Unisex hat-It appeals to both men and women. I sometimes feel bad making so many beanies for women and not any options for men, so I was really excited about this.

I actually made this hat for my sister in laws grandpa who is fighting through cancer. I hope it makes him happy and keeps his cute little head warm :) A lot of people ask me how I get through a project. The best way is to knit something for someone and think about them, all the memories you have with them/of them, and their reaction will be when you give it to them. What about you guys? What gets you through a long project?
