Baby Peacoat

I am SO excited about this baby peacoat! It is one of my favorite things I've knitted in a long time and I can't WAIT to try it on a cute baby boy! I am in the process of making matching UGGs to go with it.
Lili Comme Tout made this free pattern and since she got a lot of requests to make different sizes, she made this pattern which is an improved version of the pattern with sizes 1mo. all the way to 4 years. The free pattern is only in size 9-12 month size. So if you want to make a different size while you follow along with me in the video, I would get the other pattern :) It's also a LOT more well written and will be a lot easier to follow along with.

Materials I used :
-2 skeins of Red Heart Super Saver(windsor blue)
-Size US 8(5mm) needles
-Yarn needle
-4 buttons(size 1 1/8") Green Earth by La Mode #2786

Note: I needed to zoom out more so it is easier to understand where I'm at in the pattern and what it looks like, so I am sorry for that. I did find a picture of what it's supposed to look like all laid out if that will help.

  1. I'm a new reader, and very happy to find your site. Do you have a pattern for this pea coat for adults?

  3. So, you're using a worsted yarn to make a pattern that calls for bulky yarn. How do you make allowances for the difference in gauge? Thanks!

    1. Knit a sample swatch, work out your knitting gauge compared to the given, and multiply up accordingly.
