HOW TO MAKE A COFFEE FILTER WREATH

Do you want to learn how to make a wreath that you can keep up year round?! You can make this wreath for $8! (not including the ribbons) I'm going to show you how :) Click here for the full video tutorial or the short version.
MATERIALS
1. First thing you need to get is a 14" foam wreath. You can get them for around $5, but if you have a thin pool noodle laying around, you can cut it to size and duct tape it. I was needing to make 20 of them, so I tried it this way and they worked perfectly! Make sure to hot glue the ends, put enough duct tape, and hold it together for 1 minute before releasing.
3. Large Expo Marker. I'm sure a regular marker or anything similar to the size will do just fine.
4. Glue gun and glue sticks
5. Scissors
6. Durable string, or chenile wire to make loops to hang your wreath and attach the ribbon
7. Curtain clip to attach and detach ribbon from wreath
8. Scrap yarn to cinch and tie ribbon together
9. Ribbon. I scored at Hobby Lobby. The only ones I didn't get from there were the large and small pom pom trim.
STEP 1
Outline the inside and outside of your wreath.
HOW TO ATTACH THE FILTERS:
Place marker in the center of your filter. Squish the sides together.
Dollop glue on bottom of filter. Place and hold on wreath for 5 seconds.
Step 2: Hot glue on the back side around all filters for added support
Step 3: Flip over. Fill in the middle part. I had around 4-5 rows.
Step 4: Trim your filters so they're all even
Here's the result after trimming. *heart eyes emoji*
Step 5: Glue two loops on the back. The shorter one is to hang on the door, the longer one is for the ribbon. You want to make your ribbon loop is long enough so that your ribbon isn't showing on the back. You want it to start at the top of your wreath.
Cut holes, fill with glue, stuff your durable string in there, hold in place, glue around string for added support.
Step 6: Cut your ribbon(at an angle). Mine measured approx 54" but this is where you can get creative and put them in different order, or cut them as short or as long as you want. You can make a bow at the top as well. You do you boo!
Step 7: With your scrap yarn, tie and cinch in the center of the ribbon. Secure by tying a knot. Add your curtain clip. This way, you can easily attach the ribbon to the wreath and when you're ready for the next season, you can detach it and hang it up for next year :)
Step 8: After all of that hard work, we want it to last for seasons, even years! So let's weatherproof it! Make sure you're doing this outside. Give it plenty of time to dry before attaching the ribbon.
