CROCHET PINEAPPLE MONOKINI

Thursday, July 07, 2016

It is so refreshing to make something for the summer since I usually make everything for fall/winter time. I really wanted to make a swimsuit because I've never made one before, and the crochet/yarn suits are in style. I was keeping my fingers crossed that I would find a really cute knitted swimsuit, but I didn't have any luck. I wanted to make a swimsuit that would be flattering for different body types so this is the pattern I chose! I really love how it turned out. I sent it to my sister in Houston and as she tried it on, I need to make a few adjustments, (add more rows for the lace waist part, fix the cups).

I love this color yarn! It was a bit of a challenge to find the right weight of cotton yarn because most of them are in worsted weight. LUCKILY Michaels had the perfect yarn and the color my sister wanted, WIN, WIN!
