if I were to make one again, I wouldn't make the flaps as long. So I would maybe knit 15 rows instead of 30 and then knit in the round. Or you could just knit in the round the whole time if you don't want to have a slit/flaps. Lot of options!

I haven't gotten a lot of people notifying me that this pattern is no longer available. It looks like the pattern maker is off of Ravelry, so therefore, all of her patterns are no longer available...not sure what happened. So, many of you have been asking for the written pattern, so here it is! (I hope it's okay!)
Materials:
-- Size US 17 circular needles(if using magic loop) or DPNs
-- Size US 17 straight needles(or just use your circular needles to knit flat)
-- 2 skeins of Hometown USA Dallas Grey
-- 2 buttons
-- yarn needle
-- scissors
Gauge
5 stitches and 6 rows = 2 inches in stockinette. Finished piece measures 15 inches in length, but can be customized to a desired length by adding rows prior to decrease rounds.
Pattern
Cast on 50 stitches on straight needles.
Round 1: Knit all stitches
Round 2: Purl all stitches
Repeat rounds 1&2 to work piece in stockinette stitch for 30 rounds to form flaps. Transfer work to DPN`s or circular needle, place marker and join sides.
Round 31– 34: Knit all stitches in the round
Round 35: K7,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (44 sts)
Round 36: K all stitches
Round 37: K6,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (38 sts)
Round 38: K all stitches
Round 39: K5,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (32 sts)
Round 40: K all stitches
Round 41: K4,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (26 sts)
Round 42: K all stitches
Round 43: K3,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (20 sts)
Round 44: K all stitches
Round 45: K2,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (14 sts)
Round 46: K all stitches
Round 47: K1,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round ( 7 sts)
Round 35: K7,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (44 sts)
Round 36: K all stitches
Round 37: K6,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (38 sts)
Round 38: K all stitches
Round 39: K5,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (32 sts)
Round 40: K all stitches
Round 41: K4,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (26 sts)
Round 42: K all stitches
Round 43: K3,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (20 sts)
Round 44: K all stitches
Round 45: K2,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round (14 sts)
Round 46: K all stitches
Round 47: K1,K2tog* repeat from * to end of round ( 7 sts)
Using yarn needle, pull yarn through remaining live stitches and pull closed. Weave in
all ends. Attach buttons using matching yarn and yarn needle to flap portion of wrap
at approximately 3.5 & 7 inches down from cast on edge. Enjoy!
